Roles and Responsibility:
- Dashboard & Report Development
- Design, build, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop/Server/Prep.
- Create workbooks, hyper extracts, filters, parameters, calculations, and visualizations tailored to business goals.
- Data Integration & Modeling
- Connect Tableau to diverse data sources (SQL databases, spreadsheets, APIs), ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and modeling both within Tableau and upstream ETL processes.
- Performance & Quality Assurance
- Optimize workbook performance for fast load times and scalability.
- Conduct unit testing, QA verification, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and usability.
- Collaboration & Support
- Engage with business partners to collect requirements, design solutions, and present insights.
- Provide Tier-1 support, documentation, and training to end users.
- Governance & Deployment
- Administer user permissions, schedule data extracts, catalog metrics (e.g., Collibra), and maintain version control.
- Collaborate with IT teams for deployments, migrations, and compliance with data governance policies.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on Tableau updates, BI trends, and best practices. Make strategic recommendations to improve visualization quality and processes.
Skill Requirement:
- 4+ years’ experience in Tableau development (Desktop/Server/Prep) with a strong portfolio of dashboards.
- Proficient in SQL and relational databases; able to write complex queries.
- Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and connecting multiple data sources.
- Deep understanding of data visualization best practices and performance optimization techniques.
- Solid analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have
- Certifications such as Tableau Desktop Specialist/Professional.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python/R/JavaScript) for advanced analytics.
- Experience with BI platforms like Power BI or Qlik.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven track record (2+ years) delivering BI solutions in enterprise environments.
